Mr. Francis H. Perrin, of Worcester, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Webster Manor Health & Rehabilitation. He was 87.
Francis was born September 10, 1928 in Worcester a son of the late Henry and Anna T. (Shea) Perrin. Raised and educated in Worcester he graduated from the former Commerce High School. Francis honorably served his country in the Army National Guard. He was married to Eileen E. (Daley) Perrin until her untimely death on May 10, 1978.
Francis worked as a salesman for the former Morris Alper & Sons Co. for many years before retiring. While employed at Alper & Sons he enjoyed the reward of salesman of the year.
A talented carpenter he built his own home at age 21 and he enjoyed his cottage in Dennisport on Cape Cod. He and his longtime companion, Jan, enjoyed travelling and a most favorite destination was Scotland.
Francis leaves his children, David F Perrin and his wife, Andrea of Worcester, Thomas E. Perrin and his wife, Cynthia of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Diane M. Billings and her husband, Mark of Woodstock, Connecticut and Richard W. Perrin and his wife, Lisa of Warwick, Rhode Island; eight grandchildren; his longtime companion, Janice 'Jan' Benicek of Shrewsbury.
Family and friends will honor and remember Francis's life by gathering on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 9:00 a.m in Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center followed by his Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
